Jeff Greenfield

Jeff is the CBS news analyst whose friendship with Ebert goes back to their days as editors of college dailies in the 1960s -- Jeff at Wisconsin, Roger at Illinois. After Siskel's illness, he guest hosted across the aisle from Roger. 

Jeff was for many years an analyst on CNN, and before that a correspondent and analyst on ABC's "Nightline". He got an early start on television as a frequent panelist on William F. Buckley's "Firing Line."
